Recently, someone said to me, “Tell me about yourself.”
I said:
“I’m from Toronto and I moved to Vancouver with my husband over a
year ago. Since moving to Vancouver I’ve spent my time honing my
crochet skills and learning how to knit. If I’m not sleeping I’m
either crocheting, knitting, cooking or baking.”
That’s the big picture. I am surrounded by yarn and food.
Seriously, that’s all there is to know about me.
Okay, well, maybe there are a few other things you should know…
I have an addiction to Netflix and cheesy TV shows like Murder, She Wrote and Pretty Little Liars (OH EM GEE when will I find out who A is?!).
I have an addiction to Pinterest and all the crafty things you can do with a mason jar.
I’m slowly replacing the chemicals in my house with natural products. Goodbye all-purpose cleaner, hello lemon-infused vinegar.
I volunteer with Jay at the Stanley Park Ecological Society. We pull out black berry bushes because they are an invasive species. I do it because tearing those roots out of the earth is effing therapeutic. And I like playing in the mud.
I went to school for Bookkeeping because I finally realised I’m a fan of lists, itemising, accuracy, and data entry.
Swimming with dolphins in Mexico was the greatest experience of my life (followed by our wedding the next day).
Having a second trimester miscarriage did not kill me as I expected. Instead I have discovered things that give me life and happiness.
Exercise is one of those things that makes me happy.
So do cats. But I’m allergic.
Also, I love irony.
Thanks for stopping for a visit in my little world!
