Design, Test, Create, Repeat

The last several weeks have been pleasantly busy. I say pleasantly because I’m doing what I love most – crochet. And not just busy but also exciting. Why? Because early last month I was approached by Quantum Publishing to design and create patterns for their upcoming book Creature Feetures! I can’t show anything right now, but it’s a crochet pattern book of adorable and quirky baby booties. That’s not all. Jennifer at Squirrel Picnic is also working on her own book, The Big Acorn Race, and she asked me to test her patterns! I’m so excited and thankful to be part of these two projects and I can’t wait to share more in the future. Of course, when I’m not designing baby booties or testing patterns, I’m working on other projects and one of them has been in the works for the past 2 months. If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw the beginnings of a square, which will eventually become a blanket. This summer, so far, has had some pretty cool days and even colder nights so working on a blanket hasn’t been an issue. This weather has also inspired me to work on other fall/winter projects, like slippers! As I said, it’s been pleasantly busy around here. With so many projects going on at once it’s amazing that I don’t lose my focus, especially when Jason decides to play some fun music and attempts to take a hidden video of me.
