December Socks To End The Year Of The Sock

Another year comes to an end and just in time I have finished the last pair of the Year of the Sock crochet challenge – the December Socks. I have to say, this is my favourite pair of socks. Why? Because they have a story to tell with all the different yarns, and after months of sock-making there was plenty of yarn left over (and there’s still some left!). These socks were also quite easy and quick to make – or maybe I say this now after going through the initial sock crocheting hurdles. I went with a simple top down, double crochet throughout pattern and multi-coloured stripes. For the first sock I chose to do a random colour sequence and with the second I planned the sequence. I love how they both turned out. Which do you like more?

In case you missed my review of the Year of the Sock challenge head over here to check it out.

Ah, so pretty 🙂

  1. I love these socks! The stripes are wonderful! What a fantastic way to finish off the year! I started making crochet socks last year too and have developed a bit of an obsession with them. So fun!

    1. That’s amazing, Tamara! Socks are pretty fun aren’t they? And thank you, glad you like the socks 😀
