Chunky Ladder Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern

Remember the Apple Scarf Guy? Ever since I saw his lovely scarf I wanted to make a crochet version of the purple infinity scarf and I had this gorgeous chunky Loops and Threads yarn in a deep purple that was perfect for this project. Sadly, I didn't have enough yarn to make an entire scarf so I added a few rows of a greyish beige yarn from Mary Maxim. I think it turned out quite beautifully and it's the perfect shade for autumn! Here is my chunky ladder crochet infinity scarf:

Chunky Ladder Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern

This scarf was super quick and easy to make and would be a great project for a beginner. To make this scarf you'll need two 100 gram/100 metre skeins of bulky/chunky yarn (5) and size 6.50mm crochet hook. You can also add more rows (or make less) to get a wider or narrower scarf.

Abbreviations:

ch - chain

hdc - half double crochet

sk - skip

st(s) - stitch(es)

Ch 160

Row 1: hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn.

Row 2: ch 4, sk 2 sts, hdc in next st, *ch 2, sk 2 sts, hdc in next st* repeat to end and turn.

Row 3: ch 2, *2 hdc in ch space, hdc in next st* repeat to end making 3 hdc in last ch space.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until desired width is reached. Sew the ends together and voilà! Purple Infinity Scarf!
