Heart Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

With Valentine's Day just around the corner I thought I'd get into the lovey dovey mood and make a cute little heart amigurumi crochet pattern.

Heart Amigurumi Crochet Pattern

This pattern is for a plushie heart that you can leave plain or dress up as you like - maybe add a cute amigurumi face or embroider a sweet love note!

Materials

-worsted weight yarn in red. I'm using Bernat - True Red

-3.50mm crochet hook

-polyester fiberfill for stuffing

-yarn needle

-stitch marker

Stitch Abbr.

st(s) - stitch(es)

sc - single crochet

inc - increase (2 sts in same st)

dec - decrease (sc2tog)

This pattern is worked in continuous rounds, do not join or turn at the end of each round. Use stitch marker to keep track of beginning/end of rounds.

Round 1: make 5 sc in magic ring OR ch 2 and make 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook.

Round 2: sc around (5 sts)

Round 3: inc in each st (10 sts)

Round 4: sc around (10 sts)

Round 5: [sc in next st, inc in next] repeat 5 times (15 sts)

Round 6: sc around (15 sts)

Round 7: [sc in next 2 sts, inc in next] repeat 5 times (20 sts)

Round 8: [sc in next 3 sts, inc in next] repeat 5 times (25 sts)

Round 9: [sc in next 4 sts, inc in next] repeat 5 times (30 sts)

Round 10: sc around (30 sts)

Round 11: skip 15 sts, sc in remaining 15 sts. Leave unworked stitches for now. (15 sts)

Round 12: [sc in next st, dec] repeat 5 times (10 sts)

Round 13: sc around (10 sts)

Round 14: dec 5 times (5 sts)

Fasten off and sew opening shut. Begin to stuff heart with filling.

Pick up a stitch in first unworked stitch and sc around (15 sts)

Repeat rounds 12-14. Fasten off and sew opening shut. If there is a little gap in the centre just use a bit of scrap yarn to sew it together.

And that's how you make a cute little crochet heart to give away to someone special. Or keep it and show yourself some love!
